Poem in telugu: About cheap politicians

A good piece from Valluri Sudhakar (borrow from Saahityam google group).  It reflects the present day politics and politicians.  Well knitted with the general and widely used common words.

-----------------------------------------------
అభినందనలతో..

Can one imagine work for the following company?

Wat a pleasant way to start a day... I got a ppt forwarded by Raghu Ram! The presentation is about a company

Can one imagine work for the following company?
and then lists out the kind of people who are already working for it...

Guys that's the current state of our Parliment! well forget the past, past where we didn't have right to vote! but with these many atrocities happening around, the way our self-respect is thrown into trash, just make sure we are using our right to vote and select a person with good candidature.

GHMC arranges free swimming pools for all Hyderabadis!!!

GHMC - Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
I don't want to sound informative! I tried my best to keep the title as sarcastic as possible but what to do I ended up on this title "GHMC arranges free swimming pools for all Hyderabadis!!!"

GHMC was happy with the people of Hyderabad and as part of making Hyderabad residents more happy they came out with unique plan of opening swimming pools. Though there are many pools existing in city but they are not reachable, so they opened pools in all busy areas of Hyderabad.
Note: This offer availability is subjected to rainfall...
Chalo let's swim....

Please enjoy swimming with following precautions:
  1. Even vehicles are allowed to this pool
  2. Buses may take ride on the same roads (if they can trace them!)
I also request everybody not to popularize this offer news we may end up paying tax even for this unwanted/unasked facility. Of course, we are earning just to pay taxes :)

Thanks to Sampath for sharing these links and photos.

Inspiring: The gift of Education

I happened to read an e-paper from Times of India and thanks to my alumni for forwarding the same to me. I was really happy to read the entire article, how Mr. Channa Raju struggled getting his eduction. The institutes, colleges, friends, mentors who played a key role in molding him and what he did back to society from his experiences...

Servie @ Ashram
Raju discovered the headmaster visited the ashram on Sundays to serve the needy and felt motivated to join him. He walked 14 kms to the ashram every Sunday for two years to render his services there.
Free Education @ Sri Sathya Sai College & sponsors
This was a stepping stone to enter the portals of the Sri Sathya Sai College after his schooling two years later.
He went on to get his Science degree there and then found a sponsor in two batchmates — Praveen Raja and Naveen Raja — which saw him get an engineering degree in aeronautics. He received a scholarship to get his Master’s in aerospace engineering. He then went on to get a PhD at IIT Madras.

And then...
Raju came back and set up a school near Arehalli in June 2001 and called it Anjana Vidya Kendra. A tile and log structure built at a cost of Rs 1 lakh served as a building where 33 children between five and eight years of age began their schooling.
Prompt support...
Funds from his friends came in readily. Today, the school is spread over 1.5 acres, has eight classrooms, a yoga hall, library, science centre and infrastructure, comparable with many good school in the city. There are 150 children studying in the seven grades in the school. The only fee charged here is a princely one day’s labour a month.

Raju expectations...
What does Raju expect in return for this gift of free education? “I want them to become good engineers, scientists and businessmen, and lead a good life. I also want them to help empower others like themselves with education,” he says. Raju is inspiring many children in the village to come to school, and in them, hopefully, are more like him. As he says, “Education is a gift of life”.

Pledge4: No to Fake Companies/Resume

I randomly stumbled across the links below:

Police unearth fake IT Company
http://news.webindia123.com/news/Articles/India/20080511/951562.html

Employees fake it for the dream job
http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1160165

It's all about the fake companies and fake resumes.
Well working around root cause analysis, the following questions would arise:

Who started this fake resume/company concept?

Who are the people behind this?

What made them to do this?

Who is encouraging them?

Any more interesting things!!!

To be frank I am just writing down my answers, you are free to add your own, comment my answers and do what ever you feel like as long as it is befitting in making society better.

It's partly due to people who are not aware of the IT industry. Now a days, people are not doing proper or enough ground work in validating particular technology/company/skill. They blindly go by their friends views (often they won't match, it will make you land in troubles),
or third party views.
And these third party people make use of such innocent (ignorant!) people and attract them with few brand names and exploit them. As a result the faking industry is flourishing, because it's a quick buck more and more people are starting this as their main business.
Now we are in one utter confusion and unable to filter companies against the fake ones.
Is it not our responsibility to clear this confusion?
Please by putting your efforts to clear the same. One of the ways you can join your hands in this is in listing out fake companies, fake resume and most importantly do not fake anyone.

Pledge2: No to Public Smoking!

Well I am not going to say anything regarding harms of smoking or not even going to list out that diseases you get because of smoking... I covered those topic extensively under my blog on health, U'r Way2Health .
http://yourway2health.blogspot.com/2007/08/quit-smoking-another-attempt.html
http://yourway2health.blogspot.com/2007/08/what-happens-if-you-stop-smoking-fact.html
anyways who cares about smokers health. But smoker do not have any right to spoil other's health.

To hit straight, I am referring to public smoking.Unfortunately, even the most educated, esteemed people also do commit this mistake. People talk so much about the government negligence and so on.. but they do not bother when the same government makes law for the benefit of it's people.
http://lists.essential.org/intl-tobacco/msg00165.html
http://no-smoking.org/july99/07-27-99-4.html
Do we need people/police to monitor us to check our own health? The drive should come from within, and let us pledge1) To stop smoking2) If not Avoid Public smoking3) Don't throw cigarette buts onto public places, roads...4) Try to explain the con's of smoking5) Try to educate people the pro's of being non smokerLet us make this place better living place :)I can go on adding more... pls everybody do pledge and join hands.
